Today, we had some pretty dark clouds and deep rumbling thunder east of us, so Angie and Crystal and I went out and checked out the clouds.   South of us, at about 3000 feet (I'm guessing) the clouds were moving north.   Northwest of us, the clouds were moving east-southeast and those to the east were rolling north-west.   I took the photo below, directly over our house.

There were about 6 places where the circular pattern and swirl was very obvious.    it lasted like this for about 10 minutes, with all 3 of us considering how fast we could get into the hall closets (we don't have underground shelters) and then they moved off the north-east of us about 10 miles and sat there for about 20 minutes before moving to the north.      It was really beautiful.
