On The River

It's Wednesday and we had 4 conference calls today.  All 4 were supremely successful, but my voice is just about completely gone now (no - I'm not in any pain - just voiceless) and Angie keeps threatening me with putting a gag in my mouth to shut me up.

So after the last conference call, about 5:00, Cookie and I went for a walk around the nearly empty campground and found our way over to the river (Little River in Walland, TN) and walked along the river for a few minutes.   Cookie thought it was her job to drink all of the water in the river after I had stepped out onto a large boulder and was sitting on it for a few minutes.

After about 5 minutes, I called her and coaxed her to walk on the smaller rocks to the boulder - but she didn't entirely trust me or the rocks.   This is a dog that loves to swim - but the water was a little cool today after all of the rain we had over the past 4 days.

So, she stood there looking at me for about a minute and then jumped into my arms - almost knocking me, my cell phone and my black hat into the water - but we all 4 survived without falling in.   So - we sat there for about half an hour watching the fish and just relaxed - listening to the sound of the water.

It is a nice, relaxing river and Cookie laid on the boulder with me staring down at the fish and every few minutes, she's give a small whine as if to say "can I have just one?".

So - today has been a very successful day, nothing broke, the weather has been about 69 and sunshine the entire day with a nice breeze.   Tomorrow, we have a diagnostic analysis at 8am and a followup with a Philadelphia doctor tomorrow afternoon, so I should have plenty of time tomorrow to work on the fee/code/charge analysis for our Illinois client.
