Cookie

Today is Sunday the 17th and this morning, we drove over to Pigeon Forge (about 30 minutes away) looking for an RV park to move to next weekend as the one we're in leaves alot to be desired, as we're about 15 feet from other RVs on each side of us and we like to be a little more secluded.  So - we stopped at about 6 of them  on the way until we found one in Pigeon Forge (that will be alot closer to the 2 seminars I have to teach on the 27th and 28th in Gatlinburg) that has a secluded spot immediately next to the river.  So, we'll have to stay here till next Monday and then move to that one (next weekend is Memorial Day, so all parks are full next weekend) and we'll be there till the 1st when we head over to Chattanooga for the Tennessee Osteopathic convention the 3rd through the 5th.

After reserving the RV space we found a quaint restaurant and had lunch and the bread was so good that we picked up 2 loaves (along with the leftovers) and headed back to our camp.  We stopped along the way at a produce stand on the side of the road and picked up a few ears of corn, some tomatoes and by the time we got back to the truck, we discovered that Cookie had torn open the plastic wrap and had eaten about 1/3 of one of the large bread loaves, and was eating as fast as she could when we opened the doors.  She knew she was in trouble, so we made her ride home in the floor board and her little belly was bloated by the time we got home.

She's never done something like that before, so this was a first - as many times as we've left her in the truck with wrapped food.   She must have eaten her fill as she hasn't touched her food bowl all day.  Right now, it's 11:40 and she's laying on the floor asleep next to me as i write this, snoring.  This dog can snore like a champ at times.

Tomorrow (Monday),  I'll drive about 2 hours south to have lunch with a couple of new clients (Milli and Robert) in Copperhill, Tennessee and when I get back here, I need to take one of the tires off the RV and put the spare on (I have a split in the side of the tire - but fortunately, I have road hazard on them).   When we get to Atlanta (after the Chattanooga convention), I'll have to stop by a Discount Tire store and switch it out with a new tire.  The RV repairman should start working on the underside tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully - all will go well with that as well.
