APRIL 16 - GOOD NEWS FROM DOCTORS
It's Wednesday morning and I received good news yesterday from the doctors. My stress test on Monday came back negative, so they don't need to do an Angiogram or anything else. My blood test results are excellent as well. Three years ago, my cholesterol was over 400 and my triglycerides were over 450. On Monday, my cholesterol was down to 185 and triglycerides were 187. Hallelujah.
Today, I'm going to be starving as I'm on clear liquids only to prep for the screening colonoscopy for tomorrow.
I was reading the news online this morning and was saddened and angered to see that President Jimmy Carter was meeting with the leader of the Hamas. I can't believe it. I thought our country was at war with EVERY terrorist group in the world. Some may remember that on September 12, 2001, President Bush made an announcement that we will not tolerate terrorism or those that promote or harbor terrorism. The support for those words was tremendous throughout the country by people in every party and only a liar would say that they didn't agree at the time - 1 day after around 3,000 people were killed by Muslim terrorists. This is inconceivable to me that a former President of this country would meet with a terrorist leader. I have respect for Carter's willingness to put himself into harm's way and I have no doubt that he "believes" he is doing good. It's like many of his other decisions.
We'll be here until next Monday when we head to Oklahoma City.
